Australian skilled and employer sponsored/nominated visas

- Submit an Expression of Interest
- Score at least 65 points on the Points Test
- Be under 45 years old at the time of invitation
- Have competent English language skills
- Have a nominated occupation that is on the relevant skilled occupation list
- Meet the skills assessment requirement for the nominated occupation
- Have not been found to have any health or character issues
- Meet the criteria for the subclass 189 visa
- Have a nomination from a state or territory government agency
- Have an occupation on the relevant skilled occupation list of the nominating state or territory
- Meet any additional criteria set by the state or territory government agency
- Meet the criteria for the subclass 189 visa
- Have a sponsorship from an eligible relative living in a designated regional area or a nomination from a state or territory government agency
- Have an occupation on the relevant skilled occupation list of the sponsoring state or territory
- Meet any additional criteria set by the sponsoring state or territory government agency
- Have a nomination from an approved sponsor
- Have worked in the nominated occupation for at least two years
- Have the required skills and experience for the nominated occupation
- Meet any skills assessment requirement for the nominated occupation and country of passport
- Meet any English language requirements for the visa
- Meet any health and character requirements for the visa
- Be paid a market salary rate for the nominated occupation
- NOTE – no upper age limit
Subclass 186 visa – Direct Entry Stream
- Have a nomination from an employer sponsor
- Have worked in the nominated occupation for at least three years
- Be under 45 years old, unless exempt
- Have the required skills and experience for the nominated occupation
- Meet any skills assessment requirement for the nominated occupationÂ
- Meet any English language requirements for the visa
- Meet any health and character requirements for the visa
- Have a nomination from an approved sponsor for a position in a designated regional area
- Have worked in the nominated occupation for at least three years
- Be under 45 years old, unless exempt
- Meet the skills assessment requirement for the nominated occupation
- Have the required skills and experience for the nominated occupation
- Meet any English language requirements for the visa
- Meet any health and character requirements for the visa
